Don't want to spend a lot on BCA test prep?
Ours is FREE. We don't think it is fair that families with more means should have an advantage.
BCA Test Info
Bergen County Academies (BCA) is a magnet school in Bergen County,, NJ. To be admitted a student needs to:
1. Live in Bergen County
2. Apply when they are in 8th grade. The application deadline for this year is November 9th, 2025.
3. Take an admissions test which has a math section and a written essay. The test is administered in the end of November or early December.
The Problem
BCA says, "Students who take prep courses do not have any advantage over students who do not take a prep course." While this may be true we believe that practice makes perfect and preparing will boost a student's chances to do well. After all, why do people study for the SAT, ACT, and other standardized tests?
For this reason, every year families spend thousands of dollars to send their kids to expensive test prep classes.
The Solution
BCA has made available 1 sample practice test, and several practice questions. You can see them here. This may not be enough material to prepare.
Using these questions and AI, we have created several more sample practice tests. We have posted those tests here, along with answers, and videos of the solutions. Our full program is below.
NOTE: Our tests are only for the math section of the test.

2 Levels of Practice Tests
BCA Basic: These tests are based entirely off of the practice material that BCA makes available, so they should be very similar to what one can expect on actual BCA exam.
BCA Challenge: These tests are more challenging, and contain questions that are similar to the BCA exam along with some AMC 8 style questions mixed in.
Students should start with BCA Basic tests, then progress to BCA Challenge tests. Try to take 1 test per week. Make sure you understand all the questions you answered incorrectly on a test before taking another test. We have included video explanations for all questions.
